ISLAMISTS, CROOKS AND FOOLS

First the crooks endorsed the fool. Now oil-for-food plan beneficiary Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri has been endorsed by the Islamists.

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri yesterday unveiled a grand alliance to support her bid for another term in office, raising the stakes in her battle with a former general in next month's election.

The 57-year-old declared 'victory was now in our hands' as she announced the four-party 'Nationhood Coalition' that included political juggernauts Golkar and her own Indonesian Democratic Party - Struggle (PDI-P).

The Muslim-based United Development Party (PPP) and the minor Peace and Prosperous Party were the other members of the alliance.

The PPP is headed by the the despicable Hamzah Haz, Indonesia's current vice president.

Haz only received 3% of the vote in the first-round of the presidential election (in which he openly campaigned at the Islamic terrorist indoctrination camp boarding school run by alleged Jemmah Islamiah (JI) leader Abu Bakar Bashir.) So, I don't think he will add much to the ticket.

The Peace and Prosperous Party are, as the report says, minor.

At the start of this campaign, I simply thought that Megawati did not deserve another term. She was a fool, but a relatively harmless one.

However, now that there is an alliance of fools, crooks and Islamists, I'm really hoping that Susilo kicks ass.
