E.D. IV?

The Ghost of a Flea has drawn my attention to a possible new Evil Dead movie. I hope it's true. I love the franchise.

I had an argument with Lisa recently. I had picked up the Princess Bride DVD and she was impressed:

LISA: Wow, that's the best movie ever!

CHRIS:What?!? No it's not we've already agreed on what the best movie ever was!!!

LISA: Err, okay, that's the best romantic comedy ever.

CHRIS: No it's not! Evil Dead II is the best romantic comedy ever!

LISA: Umm? And how is it romantic?

CHRIS: Well, there is that touching scene where Ash gives Linda that pendant.

LISA: And then?

CHRIS: Err, she gets kidnapped by a demon?

LISA: And then?

CHRIS: Err, Ash decapitates her with a shovel.

LISA: And then?

. . .

CHRIS: Err. . . Dismemberment with a chainsaw?

...

(long pause)
...

CHRIS: Fine. But 'Evil Dead II' is still the best movie ever right?

LISA: No, that would be “Blade Runner.' “Evil Dead II” is the best horror comedy ever made.

Arrgh!!! And this from a woman that doesn't even like Phillip K Dick

(Lisa notes: Yeah, that “Electric Sheep” thing sucked. The concepts in the book were much better explored and developed in the movie. Plus... Harrison Ford, hot!)
