UPDATE ON MANNY

Manny, the five-year-old Australian/Balinese girl who was critically injured in last Thursday's bombing, has pulled through her surgery and has regained consciousness on at least two occasions. Today, she communicated with her Italian stepfather. She almost certainly be partially paralyzed on her right side and will have some brain damage (though the extent will not be known for several months).

There us some question over whether custody will be given to Manny's Australian biological father or her Italian stepfather.

She still doesn't know that her mother was killed.

Musu said. "I have given her so many questions about her life and she answered yes, yes moving the head and she looked at me." "The first time she opened
her eyes she cried," Musu added.
