PHOTO SHOOT

The photo shoot that I was recruited into yesterday turned out to be a one-hour video shoot. I had to stand around with a group of colleagues, most of whom I had never met, and pretend to be conducting a lay-out meeting.

It was awkward. My boss, who was also drafted into what we thought was a five-minute project, kept directing the ad-lib conversation in my direction.

After it was over, the director complimented me on my braces: “Those will work so well on the final cut, the gold braces and tie.”

Then, Lena, the girl who drafted me into the project said “see that's why we needed you.”

I went back to my desk and scrambled to catch up on the extra hour of missed work. It was an unusually busy Friday. For that, I blame the Brooks Brothers.

I am so looking forward to this weekend.
