LIVING ROOM CANDIDATE

The American Museum of the Moving Image has an online catalogue of fifty-two years of presidential campaign TV spots.

The 1984 Reagan "Bear" spot should be resurrected by the Bushies.

Goldwater is still uplifting, Kennedy has a nice jingle (which has given me a case of earworm) and Mondale was a hippie (using Crosby, Stills and Nash for an arms control spot couldn't have been a good idea - even in 1984).

In your heart, you know he's right.
