ICG 2

Indonesia's expulsion of the International Crisis Group's Sidney Jones has been condemned by Washington, Canberra, Amnesty International, and basically almost all quarters.

It has attracted a bit of praise though.

...the hardline Indonesian Mujahideen Council, which is led by terror suspect Abu Bakar Bashir, welcomed the move.
'We urge the government to forbid her (Ms Jones) from ever returning to Indonesia. We want her to apologise to ustaz (teacher) Bashir because of her reports which have defamed him,' council spokesman Fauzan Al-Anshori said.

Remember though, just because the Indonesian government is doing things that make the jihadis happy 'Indonesia must not be branded as no longer be against terrorism just because of a person like Sydney Jones.'
