ARRESTED
There seems to have been some recovery from last weekend's gaffes by the Conservatives, their decline has not only been arrested - but reversed. They have recovered three points from the last Ipos-Reid, while the Liberals have lost two points. The Globe reports:
In the Ipsos-Reid poll conducted for The Globe and CTV, the Liberals have 32 per cent support of decided voters and the Conservatives are 1 point behind at 31 per cent.
Since the last Ipsos Reid poll, the Conservatives are up 3 points while the Liberals are up (ed. should be 'down') 2 points.
Nationally, the NDP is at 17 per cent support, the Bloc is at 12 per cent and the Green Party is at 6 per cent. The poll, which was conducted between Monday and Wednesday, surveyed 2,000 Canadians and is considered accurate plus or minus 2.2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
A seat projection now gives the Conservatives a possible 115 to 119 seats and the Liberals between 99 and 103 seats. A party needs 155 seats for a majority in the 308-seat House.
The latested Ipos poll closely matches the Environics (June 17 to 22), which has the two main parties tied at 33% each. Again, no majority is possible (barring a coalition with the Bloc).
